A retreat centre located on Okanagan Lake and associated with the United Church of Canada, Naramata Centre has for more than sixty years been “a place of learning, spiritual nurture and renewal” for the greater community. As part of a major capital campaign presently underway, a master plan was developed based on extensive consultation with the many constituent groups.
The various specific construction projects identified in this master plan will be gradually pursued as funding becomes available, the first of which involved updated accommodation facilities, and was recently completed. Due to the beautiful natural setting on Okanagan Lake, and the common thoughtfulness of the Naramata constituents, there is a strong emphasis on sustainability from all perspectives for any of the work undertaken.
