The first newly-constructed school for the recently-formed French School Board of British Columbia, this preschool to grade twelve facility for up to 600 students provides educational and community spaces for students from the French community of the region.
The project was selected as a demonstration project under the British Columbia Government’s Green Building Initiative, and in spite of a limited budget, was able to address many issues of sustainability. A very enthusiastic client team comprised of teachers, administrators, students and community members participated actively throughout the entire design and construction phases of the project.
The project was completed under the predecessor firm, Marceau Evans Johnson Architects.
